Audio-visual and home cinema
Solarsat was established in 2001 and is based at 8 High Street, Mildenhall. Audio-visual installation is one of our core services, from a single TV wall mounting to media walls, cinema rooms and multi-room music for homes and businesses across the town.
Because we are in the town, you can see equipment before you commit. Book a showroom appointment and we will talk through screens, speakers and control options for your room, then plan the installation around your layout. Whether it is a TV above a fireplace with the cables hidden, a media wall in a new extension or a dedicated cinema room, we design it, supply it and fit it with our own team.
Mildenhall has a mix of older town-centre properties, newer estates and rural homes, so no two jobs are the same. In older buildings we take care over cable routes and fixings; in new builds we can often plan wiring before walls are finished, which gives the cleanest result. Many families connected to RAF Mildenhall live in and around the town, and we can plan an AV system that works with both UK services and AFN satellite.
If you are not sure where to start, a short conversation usually helps. Tell us how the room is used, what you already own and what is not working, and we will suggest options at different levels. You can then see how they compare in the showroom before deciding.

CCTV and alarms
Solarsat installs CCTV and intruder alarms across Mildenhall from our base on the High Street. Whether you want to check the driveway from your phone or protect a business unit out of hours, we design the system around your property and fit it ourselves.
In the town centre, businesses often need cameras covering entrances, tills and rear yards, plus an alarm that can be set and checked from a phone. On the residential estates, a common setup is a camera covering the front door and driveway, another for the side or rear garden, and a smart alarm with app control and optional 24/7 monitoring.
Around the edge of Mildenhall there are farms, smallholdings and rural homes where buildings are spread out. Our IP CCTV systems scale from one camera to a network across a large agricultural property, and we can connect outbuildings using point-to-point wireless bridges where cabling would mean digging up yards.
Being based in the town also makes it straightforward for us to return to adjust camera angles, add cameras as your needs change or carry out routine maintenance. Maintenance plans for CCTV and servicing for alarms help keep everything working when it matters.

Wi-Fi and networking
From our office on Mildenhall High Street we design and install Wi-Fi and networks for homes and businesses across the town. If your signal drops out upstairs, in the garden office or at the back of the shop, we can fix it properly.
Many homes in Mildenhall have been extended over the years, and an extension with solid walls often leaves the router struggling. Properly planned access points, connected by network cable where possible, give consistent coverage throughout. We can also add wired network sockets for home offices, smart TVs and games consoles.
For businesses in and around the town, we install data cabinets, structured cabling and commercial Wi-Fi, and we can take over and tidy up existing networks. On rural properties outside the town, we link outbuildings with point-to-point wireless bridges, and if the broadband line itself is the problem, our rural broadband service uses 4G, 5G and Starlink.
If you work from home, a reliable connection is as important as any other utility. We can give your home office its own wired connection, make sure video calls hold up in every room and set up the network so it is easy to manage. For larger homes we can install a data cabinet to keep the equipment tidy.
